Empty Bowls Make Meaningful Gifts!

With appreciation for all the incredible support that made the Empty Bowls dinner a huge success and a heartwarming community gathering to support Foodworks.
Support Foodworks by purchasing a handcrafted bowl for $25, made by local potters. These beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces are available through mid-November at the following locations:
Everyone’s Books, The Kitchen Sync, The Shoe Tree, Zephyr Designs and The Putney General Store
Over 22 years, Empty Bowls has become more than just a fundraiser; it’s a tradition that fosters community togetherness around a shared goal: ensuring that our neighbors have their basic needs met with dignity.
Every dollar raised at Empty Bowls goes directly to Foodworks, our area’s most heavily utilized food shelf program. In fiscal year 2024, Foodworks served 4,784 unique individuals across 1,990 households—that’s 3,491 adults and 1,293 children—providing free high-quality supplemental food for those in need.
These numbers represent our neighbors, coworkers, and community members facing challenging times. Together, we can create a future where no bowl goes empty.
