Join Our Shelter Team
Are you ready to join a team of individuals helping our neighbors to meet basic needs, including food security and a safe and dignified place to call home? Shelter Advocates provide programmatic support to Groundworks’ shelter at 81 Royal Road, which operates 24/7 and maintains a sober living environment to support all residents. This position ensures program quality and a safe and welcoming environment, while building a great place to work. This position builds strong relationships with residents, assists them in navigating resources, and seeks their feedback to create a successful program.

For over 47 years, the organizations that now comprise Groundworks Collaborative have been serving Brattleboro and surrounding communities. Formally established in 2015 through the merger of the Brattleboro Area Drop-In Center and Morningside Shelter, Groundworks has grown from a small operation with seven staff members to an organization of nearly 50 employees serving over 5,000 people annually.
